silent language

18 Mar 2009

When I couldn't hear,
you became my loudest voice
held my hand and described the sounds
wiped away my fears effortlessly
never asking for much in return
When I couldn't see,
you were my brightest light
guiding me through the darkness
weaving my route into the familiar
never asking for much in return
When I couldn't breathe
you gave me the reason to live
inhaling in the pain and despair
releasing my anguish into the air
never asking for much in return
When I couldn't speak
you painted my emotions onto the canvas
interpreting the colours as meaningful thoughts
brightening my vision so vibrantly
never asking for much in return.
Never once did you complain
never once did you say
'no, I can't do this anymore'
never asking for much in return.

It's actually somehting which has been buzzing in my head, desperate to be released into words.
It's a representation of love and care in the truest form, the person who would be willing to be there for you regardless of how harsh their sacrifices would have to be- they STILL stick with you and take your burdens to be their own.

Beautiful thought and penned in an irresistible way!

However, can this exist in the real world? Will it be found between and among ordinary mortals such as us?
